Dartmouth Health Children’s: Parent Support Series

Description

We partnered with Dartmouth Health Children’s to develop a content series designed for one of the most important audiences there is. Parents navigating complex, emotional seasons in their child’s life. The series focused on three pivotal moments. Parenting teens. Understanding trauma. Improving sleep. Each course was created to give families practical insight and real tools they can use at home, delivered through a learning management platform and shared directly by Dartmouth Health practitioners. From the beginning, we knew the tone had to be different. These topics can feel heavy. Clinical. Intimidating. We made a conscious decision to lower the barrier to entry and create a visual language that felt calm, human, and supportive. White coats came off. Wardrobes shifted to everyday attire. We chose non clinical environments that felt more like living rooms than exam rooms. The goal was not to present world class doctors as distant experts. It was to position them as trusted guides. Thoughtful. Approachable. Almost peer like in their presence. Cinematography and pacing were intentionally grounded. Warm light. Honest framing. Direct eye contact. Space for reflection. The experience was designed so that parents could access sensitive content and immediately feel understood rather than judged. The result is a series that balances authority with empathy. A learning experience that reinforces Dartmouth Health Children’s as both a leader in pediatric care and a steady support system for families when they need it most.
